About Paradise Kidz Place in Memphis, TN

Paradise Kidz Place is a DHS 3-Star-rated early childhood education center in Memphis, Tennessee, serving children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. We specialize in providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate care using the Creative Curriculum® - a nationally recognized framework designed to nurture the whole child through hands-on exploration and purposeful play.

Since opening in 2018, we have proudly supported hundreds of families across Memphis by offering safe, affordable, and enriching childcare in a warm, home-away-from-home setting. Our team includes experienced, CPR/First Aid certified educators, and we proudly accept all DHS vouchers to ensure that every child has access to exceptional care and learning opportunities.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is rooted in love, learning, and community. We believe in creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel empowered to explore the world around them, build meaningful relationships, and develop a lifelong love for learning.

By blending a structured curriculum with play-based exploration, our approach supports children’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. We emphasize empathy, kindness, and respect - not only for others but for the environment and themselves.

Through both indoor and outdoor learning environments, children engage with real-world experiences that support curiosity and creativity, from sensory exploration to music and movement. Our Family Liaison and Parent Resource Center also ensure that caregivers feel connected, supported, and informed every step of the way.

Who We Are

Paradise Kidz Place was founded by Dr. Irma Davis, a deeply committed educator, entrepreneur, and mother with more than 25 years of experience in early childhood development.

With degrees in Christian Education, Theology, and Early Childhood Education, Dr. Davis has opened multiple successful childcare centers in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. In 2018, she returned to her hometown of Memphis to launch Paradise Kidz Place, with a mission to serve her community and empower families through high-quality, compassionate childcare.

Dr. Davis's leadership and faith-based values guide every aspect of our program, from our nurturing environment to our commitment to community involvement. Whether it's organizing seasonal camps, hosting visits from local heroes like fire and police departments, or supporting parents with free resources, Paradise Kidz Place is more than just a daycare - it's a family-focused center rooted in love and service.

Meet Our Founder

Dr. Irma Davis – Founder & Executive Director

Dr. Irma Davis is a passionate educator, a devoted woman of faith, a mother, a grandmother, and a community leader. With degrees in Christian Education, Theology, and Early Childhood Education - and over 25 years of hands-on experience - she has made it her life’s mission to nurture young minds and uplift families.

Dr. Davis began her journey in early education by establishing childcare centers in Mobile, AL, and Holly Springs, MS, before returning home to Memphis to launch Paradise Kidz Place in 2018. Her vision was to create a safe, joyful, and academically grounded center where children could receive not just care, but compassion, structure, and love.

Her deep belief in faith, family, and education continues to shape the heart and soul of Paradise Kidz Place today.

About Our Memphis Location

Our facilities are easily accessible for families commuting to work and school. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll feel the difference - a clean, vibrant, and secure environment where your child’s happiness and development are our top priorities.

Room 1: Infant Room

Designed for babies aged 6 weeks to 12 months, this peaceful space offers gentle care, tummy time, soft music, and age-appropriate developmental activities. Our caregivers support early bonding and communication in a warm, loving environment.

Room 2: Toddler Room

This lively space supports little explorers as they learn language, coordination, and independence. Through play-based learning and interactive games, toddlers begin to develop essential social and self-help skills.

Room 3: Pre-K Classroom

A thoughtfully structured classroom that blends fun with foundational academics. Children learn early math and literacy, emotional regulation, and classroom routines to prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond.

Outdoor Space

Our secure outdoor area offers space for climbing, running, and nature play. Children enjoy daily outdoor time that fosters gross motor development, sensory experiences, and a love of the natural world.

Activities

At Paradise Kidz Place, learning happens all day, not just during lessons. We provide opportunities for creative expression, connection, and fun through:
